The award-winning tech company Packwise, based in Dresden, has developed an innovative IIoT solution for the process industry. This allows industrial packaging and its contents to be tracked along the supply chain, thereby enabling companies to generate unprecedented insights.
It quickly became clear how much potential was untapped in the Packwise Smart Cap and associated Packwise Flow application. What the start-up lacked, however, was a structured marketing setup and meaningful content that both makes the product known and generates and activates leads.
As part of a long-term collaboration, Packwise and andweekly implemented a holistic digital marketing strategy.
Before Packwise got in touch with andweekly, the team had to deal with the typical problems encountered by a start-up: limited time available, busy employees and processes that have evolved organically and are no longer sufficient to scale marketing.
As a company in the starting blocks, scalable marketing was exactly what Packwise urgently needed. The company wanted to grow as quickly as possible and raise its brand awareness.
After a start-up phase with all guns blazing, in which the seven employees worked on their idea with utmost enthusiasm, the task was now to establish structures and processes in marketing.1. A complete HubSpot rollout
2. An extremely successful white paper campaign
3. A website relaunch with a strong focus on lead generation
Collaborative development (sharpening) of buyer personas, target group, customer journey, value matrix and USP
Setting up of Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, Operations Hub, CMS Hub and introduction to using the system
White papers, case studies, blogs, social media posts precisely targeted to the buyer persona and for different channels
Setting up LinkedIn Ads and Google Ads, as well as closely monitoring and optimising the results
Complete redesign in HubSpot, create page templates, e.g. for blog or landing pages for easy use
Packwise has come a long way since it was founded. The former start-up now stands out as a multiple award-winning company with automated marketing processes that have secured it many loyal customers and a stable position in the market.
With the help of andweekly, Packwise managed to set marketing standards and develop working lead generation mechanisms. The team was then able to automate and embed these into the new Packwise website.
The most important element was the high-quality content for lead generation and lead nurturing, which Packwise uses for mailings and campaigns on the one hand, and to provide content for existing contacts on the other.
“Our reach with the white paper by andweekly was very, very good. We played it out to 2,500 HubSpot contacts and had about 200 downloads! The case studies also gave us a greater measure of visibility.”
Philipp Rennert, former Head of Sales
In 2017, Felix & Gesche Weger and René Bernhardt founded the start-up Packwise in Dresden. Their vision was to bridge the gap between the analog and digital worlds, giving companies in the process industry much-needed transparency about their supply chain.
“If there’s a lack of transparency, then wasted resources and inefficiency are inevitable. We know this from our many years of experience in the logistics industry. Packwise transforms supply chains into collaborative, transparent networks. This strengthens the customer-supplier relationship and helps everyone to use valuable resources in a smarter way."
Gesche Weger, Managing Director of Packwise
